These Terms and Conditions govern your use of uoguelph.courses and any related services, including optional Google Calendar integration.
uoguelph.courses is organized and operated independently by students. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the University of Guelph.
uoguelph.courses provides course discovery, planning, scheduling, and related academic tools. You may use the service only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account or contacting us.
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, you authorize uoguelph.courses to access and use the Google Calendar data covered by the permissions you grant in order to create, update, delete, display, or sync calendar events for features you request. You remain responsible for reviewing calendar changes made through the service. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the platform, scrape data in a harmful manner, upload malicious code, or use the service in a way that violates the rights of others or applicable law.
We aim to provide useful and accurate academic planning information, but course data, scheduling outcomes, room assignments, availability, and calendar sync behavior may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors. You should independently verify important academic and calendar information before relying on it.
The service may rely on third-party products and services, including hosting providers, authentication services, databases, analytics tools, and Google APIs. We are not responsible for third-party services or their interruptions, policies, or acts.
The uoguelph.courses platform, branding, and original site content are owned by their respective owners and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit protected content from the service except as permitted by law or with permission.
The service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, uoguelph.courses and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, academic opportunity, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the service.
We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time if we believe your use violates these Terms, creates risk for the platform or others, or is otherwise unlawful.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Your continued use of the service after an update means the revised Terms apply.
