World rank comes from the CWTS Leiden Ranking Open Edition 2025, an open ranking built on OpenAlex publication data. Universities are ranked by how many of their 2020–2023 papers landed in the world's top 10% most cited, out of 2,831 universities. Schools within 25% of Guelph's rank (#421) are shown as similar.
It measures research output and impact only. It says nothing about teaching, course quality, or student life, and big research universities score higher than strong smaller schools. Schools marked "Not ranked" publish too little to be included, which is common for business and applied-science schools.
Weather is the average daily high and low for the months of each Guelph term (Fall: Sep–Dec, Winter: Jan–Apr, Summer: May–Aug) over 2015–2024, from Open-Meteo historical weather (ERA5), with local weather-station records for Wageningen and Barbados/Trinidad. Hover a term for rainy days and sunshine.
Monthly costs cover rent, food, transport and personal spending, converted to Canadian dollars at 2026-10-19 exchange rates and rounded to $50. Most come from the school's own estimate for incoming students or a partner university's exchange guide; schools that don't publish one show the typical figure for their city or country, marked "est." Hover a cost to see where it came from.
Exchange details come from Guelph Abroad and the exchange spaces list. Always confirm spaces and eligibility with Global Learning Opportunities before applying.
